I am trying to finish up some of the activities that have been sitting on my desktop for awhile. Here are two monster freebies that I just finished.

Hide the Monster File Folder Game here.  This game works on matching colors and writing the color words.

The Monsters Same vs. Different cards here. This one works on the concept of same vs. different.

Happy Sunday!

Sorry I have been MIA this past week. School has started back up and I have been super busy getting ready for Open House next week and the kiddos arrival on Friday.

I am really excited about this year and so far it is off to a far better start than the last couple of years.

Here are some exciting things from this past week... school and non school related.

1. Last Friday we went to the Eminem and Rhianna Monster Tour. It was awesome! It was also fun to get away for the night from the kiddos.

2. Over the weekend Madi learned to roll over. I'm so proud of my baby girl!

3. We got Smartboard Training today and I am super excited about using it. I have been exploring Smart Exchange. I also made a whack a mole hammer for the kids to use on the board. It is made from a pool noodle and paper towel roll (a durable industrial one).

4. I made some new rules with the fun clip art from Edu-Clips.

5. I also have changed my work task system yet again...I think is the third way I plan on doing it...a post to come about it.

So here is a look into my day:

When do I do all my planning for the school year?! Mostly in the summer, as once the school year starts up I have limited time to do a lot of planning due to meetings. However, I make adjustments as needed to the lesson plans. I also try not to bring that much work home because I want to make sure to have time with my Ethan and Madi.

I also have a year long plan with what themes I plan on teaching.

When do you plan?! Link up with Blog Hoppin to share!

First, make sure you check out the blog hop from yesterday and the giveaways! You can go here to do that.

Well, to help me stay organized I have lots of lists, binders, and portable portfolios/ files for my kiddos.

Here are some pictures of each:

Lesson Plan Binder; I keep notes of what worked, what didn't and all of the w.s. we did in there.

The next three binders just keep all of my papers in order in one spot and easy to find.

IEP Progres Monitoring Binder...Why does this work?! Well, I have 24 kiddos and each of those kiddos have different IEP goals to work on. In addition to the IEP goals I have to make sure everything we do correlates to the Creative Curriculum and gets my kids ready for Kindergarten. So with all of these different pieces to take into account I have different binders to keep my assessing organized so we can use this for child study, placement for next year, and for writing up each child's IEP and having the IEP meetings.

Lastly, I have my tpt shop all set for the Boost Sale today. Make sure to check it out for 28% off!

Have a great Wednesday!

This past year I discovered Adapted Books and I love them! So do my kiddos. You are able to work on a lot of different math and literacy skills (matching, counting, colors, shapes, positional words, etc) and once the kids understand how to use them they can do them independently. So my freebie for you is this Counting Wizards Mini Adapted Book (link all the way at the bottom). I am also giving away my Mega Mini Adapted Books pack!
