Five for Friday and a Giveaway!

I am linking up with Kacey for Five for Friday!
1. This past weekend my baby sister got married! It was a beautiful day and I hope that her move out to KS goes well. In a matter of four days she has gotten married, moved back to KS, moved into a new apartment, and started a new job! Yikes!
2. I reupholstered our storage ottoman and I love it! My husband hates color and I love it and I am slowly adding more of it around the house.
There is a great tutorial about how to do it here. 
3. We have been enjoying the hot weather (90s and humid) here in MI. Ethan loves his best buddy Aaron.

  1. A favorite pirate book in my house is, "Pirates Love Underpants". Pairing pirates and underpants is a sure winner for my crowd under 6!

  4. Happy Happy Birthday!! I hope you were able to have an incredibly amazing birthday!! It's been super hot here too, high 90s with lots and lots of humidity. Blech, I'm not a fan of humidity!! So exciting for your sister's newest journeys, I hope she has an amazing time with all of her new adventures!! My favorite pirate book is perfect for the beginning of the year in kindergarten. It's called 'Twenty-six Pirates' and each pirate's name begins with a different letter of the alphabet. The author is Dave Horowitz, and there is a companion book called 'Twenty-six Princesses'. Great way to please both the boys and the girls of the classroom!
    I hope you have an amazing weekend and a great start to the school year!!
