Last Currently Ever!

I am linking up with Farley for the last Currently ever!
Oh Boy It's Farley
I must say this is bittersweet as I look forward to linking up every month and meeting new bloggers out there! Thanks Farley for hosting for all these years! It has been a lot of fun!

Listening to Property Brothers. I would love for them to redo my house! I love all their ideas!

Loving only 29 more school days until summer break! There is a lot to get done before then which scares me, but I also cannot wait until summer to hang out with my kiddos and to go on some vacations!

Thinking about Madi's birthday this weekend! She is turning 2 (where has the time gone?!) and we have family coming in from out of state for it.
We also have began to finish planning our Disney trip. Right after school is done we are heading down to FL with my entire family and we are going to be going to Universal, Disney, and the Kennedy Space Center. My mom has done most of the planning but we have to solidify some of the details and what we want to do.

Needing a day to get everything done on the home and school list that seems to be getting longer and longer and not shorter!

Truth: We are driving down to Disney. It is about a 20-22 hour drive and I am starting to freak out a little! We have driven down to TN which is 12 hours and the kids did great but Madi was also not mobile yet and Ethan and her are on the go all the time. If you have any great ideas for travelling with a 4 and 2 year old that made the ride easier please share!!!! :)

Well, don't forget to link up with Farley for the last currently ever!!!! :)

  3. I took both of my children, as a single mom by myself, all over the western US every summer for camping, starting as babies through their teenage years, so I know and say with total confidence that you've got this. The key is physical activity every time you stop, and fun activities in the car. My kids loved traveling. In the car, you need to have a bag of goodies for each child: their favorite books, games just for traveling, their stuffed animals, etc to help them stay busy. You listen to music and do sing alongs and crazy seat dances. You play I spy games and look for things or count things, or look for letters of the alphabet, etc. You stop frequently and then you do races: "see that tree? I am going to time you. Let's see how fast you can get there". Run around the car 3 times, jump 10 times, etc. Whatever your imagination can come up with and that you know your child will enjoy. Have fun!

  4. Wanted to say Hi again through the last Currently as I think this was where I found your Special Education blog the first time :) As Jannike said - lots of little goodies to be brought out throughout the car journey and physical exertion whenever you stop. Also children's books on disc to play in the car proved very popular and amazingly enough young children often will have plenty of naps too so don't worry you have to fill every hour!! Have a lovely time - it will be magical :)
