Secondly, I have been making an attempt to accomplish one of my New Year's resolutions...Organizing Ethan's massive amounts of toys. We went from having very few to now having more than I can keep track of. They are downstairs, in his room, and overtaking the living room. Here are a few of the solutions:


The storage ottoman has been a great purchase and simple solution to the living room. I had canvas totes out but none of those held some of the larger fisher price trucks, but this trunk does. I have had the 6-pocket chart in his room since he was born, but I thought I would share it because it helps me to keep everything under controlled chaos. Diapers, diaper cream, and all his other health care accessories are kept there. The green totes I just got at Target on clearance! I love a great bargain. They are bigger than the normal canvas totes and I plan on putting them downstairs in the basement. I want to get the Expedit shelving unit from IKEA and will probably make a trip down there sometime soon. I also just wanted to thank all of you that kept me in your thoughts and prayers when I had my surgery today. Everything went very well! I will find out more details when I go for my follow-up in a week and a half, but the surgery itself went smoothly! Thank you!

As I listen to Ethan who is quite fussy this morning as he stayed up until midnight, playing a kazoo and all I amlooking forward to a bright 2013!  First is the Jan. Currently! You can link up at Oh Boy 4th Grade!

 
Ethan was such a trooper last night and fighting back just passing out for most of the night, but he did it! It was nice to have other kids at the get together we went to for him to play with and to help watch him!
I am loving that I am doing the Committment Day 5k sponsored by Lifetime Fitness. It starts and ends at Ford Field and we will see what is in between. This is also going to be Ethan's first road race in the jogging stroller!
 
I have been thinking about the LEEP surgery I have to get this coming Thursday. I highly recommend going for your annual check-up with your OB-GYN! I have been with my husband for 5 years and never have a had a problem, but after Ethan I found out I have HPV (which 80% of poeple have) and for some reason now it was effecting my cervix. Before that I never had an issue. You just never know when your body changes and something can happen. The LEEP is an out patient procedure and has a 96-98% cure rate so I am very hopeful, but my biggest recommendation is to go for regular check-ups so things can be resolved early!
 
After this I am hoping for a healthy and happy 2013! We shall see what the year brings!
 
I am desperately needing to catch up on scrapbooking and the end of this week may be the perfect time to do that as I am not able to do a lot for the first few days.
 
I am thankful for fabulous friends and a supportive and loving family!

My goal for this one should be simple...start to get to the gym at least three times a week during the winter and once the weather warms up get running 4 days a week! I honestly should have no excuses for this one as the gym I go to, Lifetime Fitness has a daycare and my husband is in charge of it and Ethan does enjoy being in the jogging stroller when it is nice out. However, I find myself getting very lazy after work about doing either of these two. I will have to make sure to have my clothes in the car and go straight to the gym and when I get home just go running right away. If I sit on the couch I am doomed! I need to stop making excuses and get up in the morning otherwise. I use to be a runaholic (running 7 days a week a minium of 40 minutes a day), but since having Ethan my priorities have changed and I just want SLEEP! The few mornings I have gotten up and worked out before work I feel great and I just need to keep that in mind. I also need to just sign up for some races so I am working towards something. Tomorrow I am running the 5k Commitment Day Run down at Ford Field so this will be a good step forward! Good luck to everybody else!!
