Matching ABC Socks

Last week I did this with my kids and they loved it. I only put some of the socks out at a time and then the students take turns finding the upper and lower case letters that match. Then, using a clothespin they connect the socks together. The kids really enjoyed it. Enjoy your Wednesday!

  1. Cute idea! I like that it doesn't involved making a whole file folder task and can be done in small groups! Happy Wednesday :)

  3. Kate, I just found your blog and I'm now following you. There's a really cute book called "A Pair of Socks" by X that would go really well with your idea. If you want to check it out, here's a link to a post that I wrote about it:

I was also wondering if you have any visually impaired students in your class. Being a blind teacher myself, I try to incorporate as many of the senses as possible with my kindergarten class and also with the pre-k students at my school.
