I am linking up with Kacey for 5 for Friday. It was pretty low key week, but we did do some fun things.

1. We made bouncy balls! Come back Monday to see how!

We also made a turtle shell to go with the turtle mask since we had another couple of rainy days.

2. My room is all packed up until August.

3. I have been printing and laminating the games I will be using at the beginning of the year.

4. I am really excited about next year! The other ECSE teacher and I  have a lot of fun new ideas we plan on implementing and I just can't wait! It is fun to have another teacher to collaborate with!

5.  A freebie! I plan on having this be an assignment to be sent home to be done with the parents.

You can get it at tpt
or tn

Freebie Fridays

1.
I got back to running. It was only 1.5 miles, but at least I got out there and did it! I also have started up some ab workouts so that is exciting! My running buddy all set to go.

2.
I got in my classroom and finished packing up.

3.
I have some fun craft ideas for the classroom that hopefully I can get done before the school year starts. I have a to do list all set and ready to go.

What are you loving this Wednesday?! Link up with Covered in Glitter and Glue to share!

Right now one of Ethan's favorite books and a favorite of my morning class is My Truck is Stuck. They love the rhyming, vehicles, and the dogs. They also love how the truck is stuck in a huge pothole and the bones that the truck is hauling get ate up by all the dogs behind the truck. It is a great book for working on rhyming and simple counting 1-5. Also, if you have a lot of boys, which is my am class they will love this! Link up with Deanna to share your favorite books!

First, I am linking up with The Teaching Tribune for Monday Meet Up.

I Teach- Early Childhood Special Ed or preschool special ed for kids 2.5-6 years old

I have two kids who are my world! Ethan is 2.5 years old and Madi is a month.

I watch- basically Fox 2 on Tuesday nights. I also love watching baseball! Go Tigers!

I listen to music...a lot. I love a little bit of everything. I have been listening to Coldplay lately.

I read baby books right now...I am trying to remember everything from when I had Ethan but being so sleep deprived I feel as if I forgot quite a bit!

I do love being on the go doing something. I try to have an outing planned a day because otherwise I go stir crazy in the house!

Meet up with the Teaching Tribune to meet some more new bloggers and teachers!

This past week I made slime with Ethan. I thought he would love it, but instead he was petrified of touching it. "It too messy" is what I was told. Lol. I even tried saying it was turtle slime as he loves the turtles, but he just wasn't having it.

It is super easy to make. All you need is equal parts white glue and liquid starch (found in the laundry aisle) and add a little food coloring. You can get the recipe from Learn, Play, Imagine

I don't know if I would do this in the classroom as I doubt a lot of my kids would want to touch it and some of them would also find it 'too messy', but depending on my group this coming year who knows. Again, if I was teaching summer school this year I definitely think I would try this with my kindergartners. What have you made this week?! Share it with Fourth Grade Frolics!
