1. I am linking up with Kacey for Five for Friday.
Here are some of the things we have been up to this week:

1. We had four new students start this week! All of our friends did awesome! I made a few changes to help with these new kiddos starting. You can read more about that here
2. We matched shape eggs to the adult penguin. This game is very easy to make (black cups, add some eyes, the belly, and a triangle beak). You can find the bellies and eggs here.

3. We practiced stacking in order.

You can grab this freebie here.

4. We drove cars through the snow. Shaving cream and some water.

5. We unwrapped the 'snowballs' and identified the letter or shape. Then, the kids traced the letter or shape. You can find this freebie here.

Have a great weekend!

Here are the work box tasks we are currently doing.

We are doing pattern block patterns.

There are sorting beads, animals, straws into containers, and buttons.

Hot Dots...my kids love this!

Adapted Book about what to wear in the winter. You can find this here from Breezy Special Ed.

I love these playdough dig mats from Shuna. I use them with magnets, felt letters (below), letter stones.

We have been lacing numbers. You can find the lacing numbers here.

We did our opposite adapted book. You can find that here.

Matching animal patterns.

These number puzzles are from my Christmas Activities Pack found here

Workbasket Wednesday Linkup for Structured Work Systems and Independent Work Systems

Yesterday I had four new students start. Three students in the morning (all still two) and one little guy in the afternoon. With the morning group I had to make quite a few adjustments to how things are being done because the kids are so young and my little ones in the class are not yet independent in any tasks and the new ones coming in aren't either. Here are some of the changes that I made:
1.
I have shortened circle and center time.
2.
I have included three centers (fine motor, iPad, and academic)

3. Whole Group Play
is now incorporated into our gross motor time so I can teach the kiddos how to play with the different toys. This is also one less transition for these young kiddos to have to make.
4. Changed my center rotation sticks to include the three centers.

5.
With the pm class we have been reviewing green and red choices. I have been using comprehension rules stories to accomplish this. You can check these out here.

Have a great rest of the week!
