I am linking up with Kacey for Five for Friday.

The past couple of weeks we have started slowly talking about all things Halloween. We have talked about pumpkins and this week we talked about bats and spiders. Here are some of the activities we did...

1. Counting out bat eyes.

2. We did some counting and sorting in the Halloween Sensory Bin. The kids have also loved singing 5 Little Skeletons and acting it out.

3. We have been decorating a skeleton at table time. I found this on clearance at Target last year.

4. We have torn paper and scrunched it up (great for hand strengthening!) and filled pumpkins.

5. We also ready The Very Busy Spider and did the flip it, say it, stamp it for the words in the book.

What are some of your favorite Halloween activities to do with your kiddos?!

As the weather starts to get cooler and we are getting less opportunities to go outside I have been needing to get my kiddos moving in the classroom more.
One of our favorite songs to go up and moving is Greg and Steve's Listen and Move. If you haven't done this song you may want to try it. I have the kiddos move around in a circle and for the ice skating part we use paper plates to skate along the floor.
This year my kiddos needed more assistance with what to do so I have made these visuals to help them out.
You can grab the visuals here.
