Pirate Activities for Preschool

My kids love learning about pirates! Here are some fun activities to do with a pirate theme.

Find all these fun Pirate activities here.

Also, if you want to do a pirate ship dramatic play check out this post from a couple of weeks ago.

Activities we have done:

Made pirate heads and treasure chests.
We have also made pirate ships out of Popsicle sticks.
Activities we want to try:
LOVE this ring toss idea from Miss Meg's Storytime
A Pirate-Palooza Party for all ages. Use this for Talk Like a Pirate Day, or any 'ol day you feel like dressing up as Miss Swashbuckler! Complete with games and crafts for a low-cost program.
Love this walk the plank! We do something similar just minus the counting but that would be a great addition to it!
Idea from the Classroom Creative.
pirate math activity-walk the plank-skip counting by tens with free pirate theme printables
I also love these parrots from Crafts on Sea.
These fun paper plate parrots are a simple craft that's suitable for kids of all ages. Simple birds that are perfect for preschoolers.:
Here are the books we enjoy reading:
Pirate Pete's Talk Like a Pirate

How I Became a Pirate

There Was an Old Pirate Who Swallowed a Fish

Goodnight Pirate: The Perfect Bedtime Book! (Goodnight Series)
Shiver Me Letters: A Pirate ABC
